The First Iteration of a Nationwide Coding Bootcamp! – JBK 1
OM BELAJAR KODING (JBK) TOUR 1: JOHOR Two weeks after the launch of Jom Belajar Koding at PWTC, we immediately ran our first JBK tour at the Universiti Teknnologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor Bahru. Despite short timeframe, we managed to secure 220 participants from all over Johor for the two-day event on 27-28 May 2016. BAFE with all of our partners – the National Aspiring Leaders Association (ANL), the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC), the Young Professional Bureau (BPM) Umno Youth, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) – would like to say, “the Johor kids are cool and awesome!” With more than 40 volunteers+facilitators to help us and our dedicated trainers, Mr. Syaah and Mr. Mahfudz, the event was ran smoothly without any interruptions. On top of that, we were blessed with the presence of YB Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad, the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda) Advisory Council member, who officiated our event on Friday. Looking forward to more states! Stay tuned!
